Hi, I’m Anita.
A movement-focused practitioner with a long-standing interest in how people move, recover, and feel in their bodies. My work is shaped by curiosity, listening, and a genuine enjoyment of working closely with people over time.
I work with people who want to move, recover, and feel better in their bodies — whether through sport or everyday life. AJ Sports Performance grew from a desire to support people in a way that feels thoughtful, practical, and human, not rushed or transactional.
How I came to this work
My path into this work grew from a long-standing interest in sport and movement, and a curiosity about how people recover and adapt over time.
Working closely with people has shown me that everyone brings something different to a session — past experiences, injuries, goals, and sometimes a bit of uncertainty too.
I enjoy taking the time to listen and understand what’s going on before deciding what support might be most helpful.
Training & ongoing learning
I’m trained in sports & remedial massage and fascial stretch therapy and continue to develop my work through ongoing study, supervision, and professional development. I hold an MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology and am currently on the CASES SEPAR route to being accredited. I work hand-in-hand with my supervisor in this space.
Continuous learning is central to my work, and I enjoy staying curious and open to new ways of supporting and collaborating with people.
What matters to me
Feeling comfortable matters. I want people to feel at ease, listened to, and involved in their own progress. I care about creating a space where questions are welcome and where things can move at a pace that feels right.
For me, the most rewarding part of this work is seeing people leave with a better understanding of their bodies and their minds — and a bit more confidence in how they move and feel day to day.
